Itinerary

Explore Istanbul’s Suleymaniye Mosque and enjoy a cruise along the Bosphorus, sailing through the city's vibrant heart. Journey across the stunning Bolu mountains to Ankara, then marvel at the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia and the shimmering Salt Lake before visiting the caves of the Goreme Valley. Continue your adventure through the ancient ruins of Hierapolis on your way to Pamukkale, and the beautiful southern Mediterranean city of Antalya

Day 1: Departure from US (Night on board)

That sounds like an incredible adventure! A journey through Turkey and Dubai promises a rich blend of history, culture, and modern marvels. Your trip kicks off with a flight from the U.S. to Istanbul, where you'll dive into the heart of Turkish heritage before heading to the futuristic city of Dubai.

A quick reminder: if your flight departs before 4:00 a.m., plan to arrive at the airport the evening before to ensure you're all set for your flight.

Istanbul will be your first stop, with iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the bustling Grand Bazaar. Then, you'll head to Dubai, known for its modern skyline, luxurious shopping, and landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and the Palm Jumeirah.

Day 2: Arrival Istanbul

What an exciting start to your trip! Upon arriving in Istanbul, you'll be stepping into a city that straddles two continents, blending rich history with modern vibrancy. After transferring to your hotel, you'll have the remainder of the day to relax and acclimate before the official start of your journey.

The orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at around 7:30 PM will be the perfect opportunity to get an overview of your upcoming adventures and ask any last-minute questions. It’s great to arrive no later than 4 PM to give yourself enough time to settle in before the meeting

Day 3: Full Day in Istanbul

Your day in Istanbul sounds absolutely packed with history and culture! You'll get to explore some of the city's most iconic landmarks, starting with the Blue Mosque, which truly lives up to its name. The famous blue tiles inside are a big reason for its name, but the second story about the reflection of the blue sea is also a beautiful touch—imagine how mesmerizing that must look for sailors!

Next, the Hippodrome will take you back to the days of ancient chariot races and athletic competitions. It’s amazing to stand where so much history was made! After that, St. Sophia (Hagia Sophia) will leave you in awe, both for its stunning architecture and its fascinating transformation from a cathedral to a museum, and now a mosque. The fact that it was the largest cathedral in the world for nearly a thousand years is incredible!

The optional visit to Topkapi Palace will give you a peek into the lavish life of the Ottoman sultans. The palace is a maze of beautiful courtyards, grand halls, and historical artifacts. Lastly, you'll end the day at the Grand Bazaar, where you can test your bargaining skills (a must-do in Turkey!).

Day 4: Transfer to Ankara

Depart from your Istanbul hotel for a scenic overland transfer to Ankara, with exclusive Travecations-style stops at some of Turkey’s hidden gems along the way. If time permits, enjoy a peaceful break at Gölcük Nature Park, where a serene lake nestled in pine forests offers the perfect photo opportunity. These off-the-beaten-path experiences offer a deeper, more authentic glimpse into Turkey’s rich cultural tapestry before arriving in Ankara for your overnight stay

Day 5: Transfer to Cappadocia

Today, set out on a scenic drive from Ankara to Cappadocia, a journey that takes you through the heart of central Turkey. En route, you'll stop at the stunning Salt Lake (Tuz Gölü), one of Turkey’s most surreal natural wonders. Stretching across the horizon with its brilliant white surface and mirror-like reflections, it's the perfect place for a photo break and a quiet moment to take in the landscape.

After your visit, continue your drive toward Cappadocia, arriving in the afternoon. Once there, the rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure. Whether you choose to relax at your cave-style hotel, wander through the nearby valleys, or enjoy a traditional Turkish tea with a view of the fairy chimneys, Cappadocia offers the perfect setting to unwind and take in its dreamlike atmosphere.

Day 6: Full Day Cappadocia Tour

Start your day with the Optional Hotel Air Ballon(start at 5am). Embark on a full-day tour through the breathtaking landscapes of Cappadocia, where you'll explore the UNESCO-listed Göreme Open-Air Museum, home to ancient cave churches adorned with vivid Byzantine frescoes. Discover the fascinating underground city of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu, once a refuge for early Christians, and marvel at the unique fairy chimneys of Pasabag (Monks Valley). Stroll through the whimsical rock formations of Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley, and visit the charming town of Avanos, famous for its centuries-old pottery tradition along the Kızılırmak River. Day 7: Cappadocia - Istanbul

Today marks a return to the vibrant city of Istanbul! Begin your day with a transfer from your hotel in Cappadocia to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel to settle in and refresh.

In the evening, get ready for a magical experience as you board a Bosphorus Dinner Cruise. Sail between two continents on the stunning Bosphorus Strait, taking in the glittering skyline of Istanbul, with landmarks like the illuminated Bosporus Bridge, Topkapi Palace, and Maiden’s Tower glowing under the night sky. Enjoy a delicious Turkish dinner on board, accompanied by live entertainment, including traditional music, folk dances, and maybe even a belly dancing performance!

Day 8: Istanbul - Dubai

Today, you'll begin your journey to Dubai! Start with a transfer from your Istanbul hotel to the airport for your flight to Dubai. Upon arrival in the dynamic city of Dubai, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel, where you can settle in and unwind.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Whether you choose to relax at your hotel, explore the local surroundings, or simply enjoy the stunning skyline from a nearby café, Dubai offers a variety of options for a low-key, enjoyable afternoon. If you feel up for a bit of sightseeing, you might take a short walk/local taxi to get a first glimpse of the city's iconic architecture, such as the Burj Khalifa or Dubai Mall.

Day 9: Full Day tour to Dubai

Experience the best of Dubai on a full-day city tour that blends the charm of Old Dubai with its modern marvels. Begin by exploring the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, a glimpse into Dubai’s past with its traditional wind-tower houses and winding streets. Visit the Dubai Museum at Al Fahidi Fort, where you’ll learn about the city’s rich history before hopping on a traditional Abra boat to cross Dubai Creek. Day 11: Abu Dhabi City Tour

Today, you'll be transferred from your hotel to Dubai International Airport for your departure flight back to the USA. A mandatory tip of $40 USD per person is required. This tip covers guides, drivers, porters, and waiters. It is not included in the tour price and must be paid at the destination. These are the ONLY mandatory tips you will need to pay during the tour. Tipping for other services is optional, but keep in mind that tipping is an important aspect of Turkish culture. Service providers may request tips, and it is up to you to decide whether to give one.

Attention: Passengers arriving in Turkey from January 15, 2023, must pay a tourism tax of $10 per person. Starting in December 2025, this tax will increase to $15 per person. This tax, mandated by the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, applies to all visitors. It is not included in the booking amount and will be collected by the tour guide for payment to the authorities.
