Day 1: Departure for Your Japan Vacation from USA

Your unforgettable Japan vacation package from the USA begins with your international departure flight to Tokyo, Japan. During your overnight journey, relax and enjoy the onboard services while preparing to experience one of the world’s most fascinating travel destinations.

Day 2: Arrival in Tokyo | Start of Your Japan Tour

Welcome to Tokyo, Japan’s vibrant capital and one of the most exciting cities in the world. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by a Travecations representative who will assist you with airport arrival procedures. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Tokyo by comfortable private transportation. After check-in, the remainder of the day is free to relax or explore the nearby shopping streets and restaurants. Tokyo offers endless opportunities to experience Japanese culture, cuisine, shopping, and entertainment. Overnight stay in Tokyo.

Day 3: Tokyo City Tour | Best Attractions in Tokyo

After breakfast, begin your Tokyo sightseeing tour exploring some of the city's most famous landmarks. Start with Zojoji Temple, a historic Buddhist temple that offers incredible views of Tokyo Tower, one of the city's most iconic structures. Continue to the Imperial Palace, the official residence of the Emperor of Japan, where you will see the famous Nijubashi Bridge, one of Tokyo’s most photographed landmarks. Next, visit Meiji Shrine, a peaceful Shinto shrine surrounded by a tranquil forest in the heart of Tokyo. This sacred site is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and represents the spiritual side of Japan. Continue your tour along Omotesando Avenue, known for luxury boutiques, designer architecture, and high-end shopping. Day 4: Mount Fuji & Hakone: Iconic Landscapes of Japan

After breakfast, depart Tokyo for the scenic Mount Fuji region, home to Japan’s most iconic natural landmark. Your first stop is Arakurayama Sengen Park, one of the most photographed locations in Japan, offering breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and the Chureito Pagoda. Continue to Lake Kawaguchiko, one of the Fuji Five Lakes known for stunning views of Mount Fuji. Enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Kawaguchiko, where you can admire the beautiful mountain scenery. Weather permitting, travel to the Mount Fuji 5th Station, located halfway up the mountain, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. For a traditional Japanese cultural experience, guests may optionally stay at a Japanese Ryokan, where you can relax in a natural Onsen hot spring bath. Day 5: Traditional Village Experience & Travel to Kyoto

After breakfast, continue exploring the Fuji region. Visit Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba, a beautifully restored traditional Japanese village that showcases historic houses, craft shops, and local culture. Next, visit the spectacular Shiraito Waterfalls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Japan, known for its wide cascading streams flowing over volcanic rock. Day 6: Kyoto Cultural Tour | Temples & Bamboo Forest

Today you will explore the historic beauty of Kyoto, home to over 1,000 temples and traditional cultural sites. Begin your day in Arashiyama, famous for its scenic landscapes and historic temples. Walk across the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge and visit Tenryu-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning Zen gardens. Continue to the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, where towering bamboo trees create one of Japan’s most magical landscapes. Next visit the world-famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, known for its thousands of vibrant red Torii gates forming a pathway up the mountain. You will also visit Kyoto Imperial Palace, the former residence of Japan’s royal family. End the day at Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion), one of Japan’s most famous landmarks, beautifully covered in gold leaf and reflected in a tranquil pond. After breakfast, travel toward Osaka, stopping in Nara, one of Japan’s oldest cities. Visit the magnificent Todai-ji Temple, home to the Great Buddha Statue, one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in the world. You may also explore Nara Deer Park, where hundreds of friendly deer roam freely and interact with visitors. Continue to Horyu-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest wooden buildings in the world. Later arrive in Osaka, Japan’s energetic city known for its street food, shopping districts, and vibrant nightlife. Overnight stay in Osaka.

Day 8: Himeji Castle & Okayama Cultural Tour

After breakfast, travel toward Okayama, stopping at the spectacular Himeji Castle, Japan’s most famous feudal castle and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Often called the White Heron Castle, Himeji Castle is considered the finest surviving example of Japanese castle architecture.

Continue to Korakuen Garden, one of Japan’s three most beautiful traditional gardens. Walk through landscaped lawns, ponds, and tea houses with views of Okayama Castle. Visit Okayama Castle, also known as the “Crow Castle” because of its unique black exterior return back to Osaka for overnight stay in Osaka.

Day 9: Hiroshima Historical Tour & Miyajima Island

Today visit Hiroshima, a city known for its powerful history and message of peace. Explore Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing during World War II. Visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage site preserved as a symbol of peace. Later travel to Miyajima Island, home to the famous Itsukushima Shrine and its iconic floating Torii Gate, one of the most photographed landmarks in Japan return back to Osaka for overnight stay in Osaka.

Day 10: Bullet Train Experience | Free Day

After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure. Depending on your travel plans, you may choose to experience a ride on the world-famous Shinkansen, one of the fastest and most efficient train systems in the world, and travel to Tokyo if your return flight departs from there. Alternatively, you may spend a relaxing day exploring Osaka, enjoying its vibrant atmosphere, shopping districts, and local cuisine before your departure.

The Shinkansen journey is considered one of the highlights of any Japan travel itinerary, offering exceptional comfort, remarkable speed, and scenic views of the Japanese countryside along the way. Overnight stay in Osaka if not traveling to Tokyo

Day 11: Ready for the Departure

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel*. As your memorable journey through Japan historic and picturesque coast comes to an end, transfer to the airport at the scheduled time for your flight back to the US**.
